Celebrating cross-cultural friendships with rotary! throwback to an unforgettable friendship exchange between our rotary district 3056 and the incredible rotarians from brazil! d4521 we had the privilege of hosting our friends in the vibrant cities of jaipur and udaipu and agra, where we shared not just our culture, heritage, and hospitality but also the rotary spirit of unity and service. from exploring the majestic palaces and bustling bazaars of jaipur to soaking in the serenity of udaipur’s lakes, every moment was filled with laughter, learning, and connection. this exchange wasn’t just about travel—it was about building lifelong friendships, understanding diverse perspectives, and strengthening global partnerships for community service. a big thank you to all the rotary clubs who made this exchange a success! let’s continue to spread the message of goodwill and peace across borders.

Ø Reach Hotel Shakun at 1:00 pm, welcome, and attend

 

 

the Foundation seminar

 

 

Ø Lunch at Hotel Shakun

 

 

Ø After lunch, head to Hawa Mahal, the iconic five-story Palace of

 

 

Winds adorned with intricate latticework. Learn about its historical

 

 

significance and admire its unique architecture.

 

 

Ø Get on a visit to the City Palace located in the heart of the old city

 

 

of Jaipur. Explore its museums, and courtyards, and be awed by

 

 

the stunning Peacock Gate.

 

 

Ø Visit Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory near City Palace,

 

 

showcasing the incredible wisdom of ancient Indians in its

 

 

construction and observation instruments.

 

 

Ø Conclude the day with an early relaxed dinner hosted by your

Day 2, 11 Nov 24

Ø Indulge in a leisurely breakfast with the Host.

 

 

Ø Begin your day around 9:30 am with a visit to Amer Fort, where

courtyards, and majestic palaces. Consider enhancing your

 

 

experience with a unique elephant ride to the fort entrance.

 

 

Ø Continue your exploration to Jaigarh Fort, located near Amer Fort.

 

 

Enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscape and don't miss

 

 

the chance to see the world's largest cannon on wheels, Jaivana.

 

 

Ø Enjoy lunch with Host or a Club

 

 

Ø Late Afternoon visit to a service project’ Jaipur foot

dedicated to Lord Krishna. Experience the serene spiritual

 

atmosphere and participate in the morning aarti for a deeply

 

 

enriching experience alternatively, you may visit Birla

 

 

Mandir (Laxmi Narayan Temple), a stunning marble temple with

 

 

intricate carvings, and Moti Doongri Temple dedicated to Lord

 

 

Ganesha, both offering divine serenity.

 

 

Ø Lunch with the Host or a club.

 

 

Ø Engage in a Service Project Visit

 

 

Ø Visit "Chokhi Dhani," at 4:00 pm , a village-themed restaurant

ever made by humans.

 

 

Ø Leave for Jaipur, Dinner en route.

Ø Enjoy breakfast with the Host. At leisure, hosts to plan activity with

Ø Afternoon walk through the Old city and explore shopping

 

 

at Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar for traditional Rajasthani

 

 

jewelry, textiles, and handicrafts.

 

 

Ø Reach railway station by 2:30 pm to catch train to Udaipur (train

 

 

departure 3:45 pm)

Ø Reach Udaipur, overnight with the host.

allowing closer views of Jag Mandir and Jag Niwas (Lake Palace).

Temple and the Eklingji Temple complex dedicated to Lord

 

 

Shiva.

 

 

Ø Delight in the Tranquil Beauty of Saheliyon Ki Bari, an Enchanting

 

 

Garden adorned with fountains, marble elephants, and lotus pools.

 

 

Enjoy a guided Walking Tour of the Old City
